It is great news for car buyers. As announced in the Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara (PENJANA) by the Prime Minister Tan Sri Dato Haji Muhyiddin Yassin on 5th June, locally manufactured and imported cars will receive a sales tax cut of 100% and 50% respectively.
This news has been well received by car buyers, industry players and stake holders as seen in the rebound of the automotive related share prices. Effectively, the prices of cars should reflect of that during the GST tax holidays in 2018.
