13th October 2018, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia’s pioneering vehicle auction house, G-Mart Corporation has launched a mobile application for the wholesale of motor vehicles. CarBid by G-Mart Corporation aims to wholesale used vehicles stocks to car dealers across the country via the application.
Pre-owned car stocks consisting of trade-in vehicles, ex-corporate lease, ex-government fleet, ex-rental/lease, pre-registered, demo car and privately-owned cars are presented for sale via CarBid to a group of registered dealers. Each vehicle is inspected and a report is attached in an easy to read format complete with relevant pictures. The inspections reports are also attached with a copy vehicle registration card or the Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC).
“CarBid will enable bidders to view detailed reports and bid for cars of their choice over a 3-hour period daily, this is different compared to the traditional single-file lot-by-lot system of the E-Auction. The selection of cars is also different compared to the E-Auction where a majority of the cars are bank auction vehicles, “said Dato’ Wahid Lasiman, the Managing Director of G-Mart Group of Companies.
CarBid is also set to benefit car owners who wish to dispose of their cars without having to go through all the perils of selling a used vehicle. Vehicle owners dread putting their cars up for sale only to face the hassle of managing response, setting up viewing appointment, negotiating a deal, doing the full settlement with the banks, sending the car for the PUSPAKOM inspection and doing the JPJ ownership transfer.
With the CarBid solution, car owners who wish to enlist their car for sale would just have to send their vehicle in for an inspection at any one of the 3-designated inspection centers around the Klang Valley. The CarBid valuers would advise owners on how much their cars would fetch and the best-reserved pricing to begin with. The unit is then offered to dealers via CarBid for bidding on a scheduled date and time. The highest bidder above the reserved price is concluded as the winner.
“Car owners are often faced with many unwanted issues when they sell their cars, besides the time and effort consumed to from viewing to transacting the deal, car owners also face the risk of being cheated, duped into false deals and at times even carjacked during the so-called test drives. We eliminate the risk factors and allow the sellers to fetch the best value possible via the CarBid bidding system,” explained Dato’ Wahid Lasiman.
“The best part is, its free. Yes, private vehicle owners are offered the services for no charge at all. And as for the buyers (dealers) we charge a fixed fee regardless the value of the cars,” added Dato Wahid. CarBid is aimed at providing a transparent service to vehicles seller and car dealers alike hence the fixed fee system.
